Ceremonies
A ceremony may mark the rights of passage in a human life, marking the significance of birth, initiation, marriage, handfasting, death, burial, spiritual etc.
A general ceremony conducted by Rattle & Hum Healing will consist of sitting individuals in a circle. Using the power of voice, the facilitator calls to the Ancestors with the aid of a rattle. We start in the East (which represents birth of an individual or an idea) and work around the Medicine Wheel, through South (teenage/young adulthood), West (adulthood) and North (old age). This in turn is followed by drumming the circle of people and creating a sacred space before using smudge to cleanse all.
Time is given where individuals can voice their personal thoughts through poems, words, songs etc.
This is followed by a singing bowl meditation which helps individuals to reflect and send their love, peace and prosperity to those who the ceremony is being held for.
